and if by some chance he couldn't do that, then a series of EMP blasts while safely tucked away inside his shields, should down Ironman.

Iron Man could win via the speed advantage, otherwise Magneto takes it all day. He has shown the ability to quickly and completely trump Tony's anti-magnetic defenses.

No, Storm can make the power go away from machinery with just a thought. We have already seen this in canon. IM has no defense against Storm if she went this route.

That said, the fight is IM vs. Magneto. IM beats him. He has a force-field which can block out Magneto's powers. On top of that, his armor can absorb energy, so it should be able to absorb whatever Magneto throws at him. Then he has an incredible array of different blasts which he could use on Magneto. He can also manipulate the polarity of his armor, etc and could probably cancel out Magneto's powers/force-field.

Honestly, all Magneto can do here is throw metal at IM (which may be enough considering IM doesn't have any real way to fight multiple projectiles like a TK or wind elemental can). If IM get up close, I think he takes it. IM can probably send out a magnetic wave or pulse or project a field to cancel out Magneto's force-field or even manipulate his own magnetic field to pass through Magneto's force-field. I don't know.

The more I think about it, the more I say its a toss up.
