it depends on how the sight of swarm operates. bees can "mark" an adversary with pheromones and attack them, greatly lessoning the need to see what they are attacking, just what to avoid on the way to it.

if swarm only has to set them on mysterio, the illusions are useless and
he gets stung to death making him look like an human shaped, unopened bag of popcorn.

What about Mysterio's mist ? Or his suit, it'd be a pian in the ass for the Bees to sting through it.

sure but if the bees attack like normal ones, the pheromones negate the need to see him. one insect finds him then lets off some pheromones, then the rest of the attacking colony follows to mysterio's excruciating death.

Couldn't his mist smoke the bees out ?

yes, smoke can disorient bees partly due to the heavy smell and also their prehistoric fear (that all animals have) of flames.

but, is his cloud made of carbon smoke like the one produced from a fire
or some thing less harmful.

mist as in liquid vapour most likely won't detur the bees that make up swarm.

I'm petty sure it's vapour.
