The zero hour Parallax basically recreated the universe. And while that evens out a bit with the Sun Eater showing, I tend to believe that there were extenuating circumstances there, such as storing its power in the sun. That should prove to be superior than anything Thanos has done with the reality gem, and probably anything that he can do.
