Does Thanos know anything about the lanterns in this fight, or has he somehow stumbled blindly into a battle with an unknown opponent? (very out of character but whatever).

If Thanos knows about his powers, Thanos would win evry single time, because PC Lanterns had no defense at all against yellow.

They weren't. PC feats are still valid for them.

There's actually a surprising number of characters whose continuity remained intact. But the GL's are the most obvious.
