Pre-Crisis Superman: Intelligence

I remember Superman treated like a walking plot device in pretty much everything. He was said to be smarter than all the scientist on earth, he created his own solar system in the Fortress of Solitude, has "super intelligence", photographic memory, has some of the smartest villains in comickingdom (Luthor and Brainiac), etc...

If Reed is a 150 (random number) in intelligence, what is Pre-Crisis Superman?

I always thought Supes should be at Reed level intelligence - gifted creativity!
I still remember that issue when Ma and Pa Kent turned up to visit Clark in Metroplolis and his apartment was filled with tech and robots.

If a yellow sun boosts all of his physical attributes it should boost his brain functions as well.
