in an old green lantern flash brave and the bold, sinestro made this big yellow star that was killing the green lantern so the guardians got the flash because he was suppose to be faster then the lanterns and could run into it and out before it affected him....
not to mention recently he recently in blackest night showed that he was faster then the lanterns....that being said team speed owns....

I'm rooting for the lanterns, however, the flashes have gotten a recent upgrade. For some reason, I feel that the Lanterns aren't been written to their potential. The same is said about other superheroes, but, the lanterns are the ones being affected the most.
