Count Nefaria would beat him down in a straight up fight. I'm assuming this is Nefaria with his classic powerset but after he got over his insecurities.
Til this day I don't understand why people mistake Black Adam's ruthlessness for power in World War 3. It straight up said when he was battling the heroes, that their were heroes that were stronger, more powerful, faster, but every one of his blows was meant to kill, which is why he was so effective. And the cannon fodder rule as well. Green Lantern, Dr. Light etc. tried to physically attack him. Lulz worthy.
Honestly, I'd say Black Adam's strength and durability took a dive. The Great Ten turned his face into mess, John melted half his face, and there were beings on the assembled heroes that were stronger than him. I could have sworn there were an arrow sticking out of his arm at one point.
And lol, Black Adam is not stopping a hammer strike at his World War 3 levels.

Going by Nefarias first story, he really shouldn't have stopped it either. The hammer did hurt him a few times, after all, as did Thor's bare fist. And there wasn't much he did that Adam or Superman couldn't duplicate outside the hammer feat. (Tossing skyscrapers and knocking around Wonder Man and Iron Man? Does anyone doubt Adam can't do the same?). Not to mention, Vision took him down.
But I intend to check out Nefaria's other showings soon..
Honestly, if it wasn't for Thor's statement, I would argue that Nefaria is basically equal to Thor in strength at best at his classic levels. Thor stated that Nefaria lifted a Skyscraper with an ease even he could not match. That's not very conclusive however. Thor could have wrongly read his expression etc. but I think the writer tried to show that Nefaria had a slight physical edge on Thor in terms of strength.
Meh, you don't have to be much stronger than Thor to stop a hammer strike. Heck, you don't have to be as strong to do it.

The way Vision beat him by turning his body diamond hard and flattening him?
What if Adam tries flying into the upper atmosphere, and charging down at top speed? His body may or may not be as durable, but the velocity should make up for it.
Yeah, Thor was awesome there. This is the way his fight with Superman should have gone, seeing Thor did more then swing his hammer and run blinding into his heat vision.
The thing is, it looked like the only reason Nefaria got the advantage was because of Thor's surprise at having the hammer blocked. Up until that point, it was even money. Nefaria even comments he got a clean shot in because of Thor being off balance.
Factor in Iron Man and Wonder Man at least somewhat holding their own for a brief time, and I could see stronger speedster bricks giving him a fight.
Nefaria is a fun villian, and powerful, but he's not Thanos. Hell, he's not the Super Skrull from Thor: Secret Invasion.
I don't think anyone believes his punch did anything other than knock Thor off his feet. Three panels later we see Thor fine and reaching for his hammer.
Classic Wonder Man would hold his own against Black Adam as well. It was made clear though that Nefaria was much stronger than Wonder Man. Red and Gold Iron Man was also a resourceful bastard. He can definitely bat out of his league. Look at his showings against the Hulk, Silver Surfer, Namor, Hercules etc.
Hell, even currently when he puts on his classic armor, he becomes more effective. He did drop a Hellicarrier on top of the Void in that armor, and override Skrull technology in it.
Black Adam is not stronger than Nefaria and he isn't prone to using his speed. Especially in this state of mind. In World War 3 he just punched his way through things.
Fun fact: Busiek said Superman has a decent strength edge over Nefaria.
Busiek was the one who wrote the full power Nefaria arc.
Either he was spouting nonsense (I don't think he was.) or he has a very high opinion of Thor. His Thor was pretty beastly. He had people comment on Thor's power more than a few times. Captain America said Thor was always the most powerful Avenger for example, and they had Thor as the secret weapon held in reserve etc.
Busiek was a bit too plot driven. His Thor was also too hot headed at times.
That Super Skrull was owning all of Asgard with one arm and Beta Ray Bill in the other. She was beyond regular Top Tiers. You can't treat someone as powerful as Bill in a straight up battle like that and not be ridiculously powerful.

It's not the first time Adam has taken on a bunch of heroes, though. He also took on and beat a lot of the JSA by himself. And this is a lineup of Android Hourman and Dr. Fate, who couldn't beat him straight up.
Nefaria didn't take out Iron Man, Wonder Man, or Thor at the same time either. He was mostly fighting them gauntlet style, and the small fish like Beast or Wasp ganged up.
he was taking out Vision, Ironman, Scarlet Witch, Pym with special guns and a large Thunderbolts team (too lazy to point out members) at the same time while tanking Scarlet Witch's chaos magic attacks and vision solidifying his whole body in him
JSA: Black Reign had the entire team gang piling him too. While Sentinel was restraining him with chains. Power Girl and Jay being some of the members trying to take his head off while restrained.
