Most KMCers do realize that Karnak is nothing special aside from his uncanny ability to detect weaknesses and shatter almost anything.
Gamora, on the other hand... no words. Always wanked like crazy. 90-something % of known martial arts in the galaxy mastered, trained by THANUS (who has never shown any skill, but whatever), nerve strikes (zomg), stalemating Wolverine for 1 panel, punching strong bricks (which is nothing unusual considering at a certain point she got Iron Man-lv strength level) and so on...
It's worth pointing out that in most recent times I haven't seen many fanboys of either Karnak or Gamora, to be fair.
Including a Lord of Order/Sorcerer Supreme style Superman (One of the more interesting alterate Supermen. A major weakness becomes a strength.)
She was holding her own with each member of that group about as well as Val Armorr on a good day, before losing to a team effort.
She also knocked Monarch off his feet with a kick. It was a cheap shot, but Monarch's outright ignored an army of heralds (Lanterns, Supermen, Captain Atoms..)
OTOH, the fact Superboy Prime was casually strangling her proves she can't really fight Monarch on a serious level. Still, it's an impressive feat.

foreruner is a beast. i do NOT think this would be as big a difference as most of you do though. i'd take forerunner for a solid majority, but i wouldn't put it past gamora to win a couple. she did hold her own for an extended time against angela and i always thought angela was in the herald tier for sure.....
Yeah, fightings all they know. The Monitor's basically bred them as warrior livestock.
Countdown pointed out how pregnant Forerrunners just ignore the condition and run out on the battlefield with everyone else.
That's supposed to be badass, I guess, and not the writer soapboxing a few personel issues.

meh, gamora has a similar history of knowing nothing but battle her whole life. the only difference--she had thanos showing her the ropes. i think in a book this would be a fun battle to see.
Oh yeah, Donna was treated like Batman never will be against Superman. And she can legit knock him off his feet.
Honestly, Forerunner can probably out Val Armorr Val Armorr. I just can't see him doing enough damage to her, or being skilled enough to dance around her like he does Superboy..
