^The way I've come to understand it is that the Source (disregarding Starlin's Inbetweener lookalike Source from DOTNG) is part of the Presence, he's the aspect of the Presence that the New Gods and Old Gods dealt with. The God of gods.

The way I understand it, writers struggle to fit Kirby's cosmos into the main DC. Some times writers ignore the Source, putting the Presence and angels above the Source and New Gods.
