That's partly why I made the match.

Adamantium is nothing to Zeus,

and Serpent broke Cap's shield, albeit it looked like he put some effort into it.

Just want to point out :
Vibranium > Adamantium and Cap's shield is even stronger than regular Vibranium. It's the most indestructible object ever created by man and Serpent snapped it like plastic.

Back to thread topic, I think Serpent takes this. Odin level foes are above Zeus, IMHO.

vibranium isnt strong, it just absorbs kinetic force, its the vibranium adamantium fusion that makes the shield stronger than regular adamntium

colossus broke vibranium before...

Because Zeus is to boss for him to get his hands dirty.

But if he did that Serpent would "crawl on his belly’ for the rest of his short life.

An encounter with the Serpent is something Zeus should do his best to avoid.

I hope that's not the scene your referring to because what you said and what's actually in print are two very different things. Whatever, this type of shit is the norm with you.

Let me guess, you're still parading around with the idea that Odin > Zeus.

Zeus would do just fine.

Zeus has gone up in the world because Hercules is Pak's new favorite pet but until I see some more impressive shit -because frankly beating down the Hulk isn't anything to brag about in the circles Odin runs in- I'll stick to the stance that Odin > Zeus. Not only do I believe he can reach higher levels of power, Odin is a master strategist/tactician, an expert warrior, and his also the most powerful sorcerer in Asgard and possesses the knowledge of the Runes.

Even if we assume they have access to the exact same levels of raw power -and I don't see any reason why someone would reach that conclusion- Odin is still more accomplished and well rounded.

For the record, I think Zeus should avoid an encounter with the Serpent because I'm pretty certain it would result with a beatdown and any respect he may have gained recently would be lost.

Pak did the smart thing and simply excluded the Olympians from the event.

What has Serpent done to give everyone the idea that he can take Odin or Zeus? Him breaking Cap shield isn't enough. We are talking about 2 high end skyfathers.

On a serious note... Odin isn't as powerful as his classic self imo. Can't picture him shaking the Universe during a fight or destroying Galaxies but I would like to see more from Serpent before saying he could beat Odin or Zeus.

Recent shit is all that matters.

Zeus did an order of magnitude better against Galactus, with an amp that you yourself have claimed to be 'slight'. While Odin is/was having an earnest contest with Galactus.

Baseless supposition regarding Galactus' hunger levels in the respective showings aside, if that isn't enough to establish that the current status quo has them firmly in the same tier, then I don't know what is.

There is no way that Serpent would whoop Zeus' ass. I don't see how an honest non-asgard flag toting man could picture that happening

So he breaks Cap's shield with some visible umph. That's great. A portion of Zeus' power damaged adamantium.

It's a good fight. Zeus being kept out of the fray by writers in the same way Odin is, is further proof that they don't want powers that would threaten the Serpent being immediately present as combatants.

in the next page it shows the missiles falling appart into component pieces, not destroyed in the reduced to burnt scrap type of way

(please log in to view the image)

they are 96% intact (well, the component parts) and could be put back together, but most importantly the adamantium tips are perfectly fine

?

the adamntium casing the tip was sliced in half by the forcefield. how did you completely miss that? Look at the very first panel....

quote:
Must have been quite a potent magic force-field if those missiles really had adamantium heads. It sliced them clean in half. I know magic tends to bypass physical laws, but it's not often you see adamantium pwned like that.
