Let's say for the sake of argument, that we take certain characters out of their respective worlds (Marvel, DC, etc.) and reinsert them, along with their origins into a new one. Who thrives and is as successful in the new location. This is NOT a relocation, but a complete transfer or back story and history.
(For example, Bruce Banner's gamma radiation accident happened outside Coast City and the Hulk was created. The first villain he encounters is Gorilla Grodd. See how that works?)
Who thrives and who shrivels in their new world?
1. Colossus to DC
2. Superman to Marvel
3. Thing to DC
4. Savage Dragon to Marvel
5. Vampirella to DC
6. Zatanna to Marvel
7. Galactus to DC
8. Storm to DC (as a villain)
9. Namor to DC & Aquaman to Marvel
10. Silver Surfer to DC
11. Hal Jordan (with the only functioning GL Ring) to Marvel
Surfer. He makes Superman (and all other Kryptonians) his ***** and then summons Galactus to feast upon the Earth.
Then he goes and absorbs all of the Oan Central Battery and decides to betray Galactus, has a huge fight, ends up stripped of all his powers and realises that Galactus is a lot tougher than he thought. Galactus forgives him and takes him back as his herald. the end.
Superman in Marvel would just take Thor's place in the Avengers, probably be Peter Parker's best friend and fight with Sandman a few times...
Oh and Doom would kill him. Not such a good ending.
Galactus would probably consume all of DC, unless he was tasked with maintaining the balance of DCU as well.
Thing would be pretty much ignored.
Zatanna would be Strange's love-interest/adversary... could be fun.
Colossus would go the way of thing, unremarkable bit-part-player, maybe he'd become an artist and quit the superhero life.
I think most of them thrive, though Galactus will be treated as a major crossover villain as he is not needed for the cosmic balance. Colossus, not needing to protect mutants, likely semi-retires. Thing I can see signing on with Starr labs or something. Savage becomes a cop, Vampirella fights vampires, Zatanna does the hero thing as an Avengers member. Surfer likely travels around in space and does his thing. Hal might ally with the Nova corps.
Why Storm as a villain? I have trouble picturing that. Unless it's a 'misunderstanding villain' type thing, causing her to switch over.
Namor's likely going to butt heads a lot before he settles in. Aquaman's likely going to withdraw from surface affair more than he does traditionally.
