featwise, he is no phoenix. of course, the dark phoenix jean would obliterate wbh.

But the machine was wrong ?

Shaman nate was defeated by guys less powerful than wbh ?

the machine was making projections. he simply hasn't reached that point yet (and has been depowered since).

With exotics, and BFR X-Man wins 10/10 times.
Without them, a contest of power for power. WBH wins 10/10.

That potential is very real. But he cant accesses or command those energies. If he tries to do so, he will die. As a mutant, he is still under developed to regulate those energies. I'll show you what I mean.

Well first he has conscious, and unconscious mental restrains. Than you have his body psi inhibitors. Once those are gone, Nate forgoes an evolutionary stages of growth.

Thats his ultimate form.

The one that can make use of his powers to the fullest.
