most emotional comic moments

what moments in comics made you feel more than the typical read ?

some for me were:

Dan turpin slowly transmogrifying into darkseid.

jean killing sue.

the death of captain America.

nix utoan mourning over the loss of his reality.

invincible's first fight with conquest.

caiera's physical death at the hands of the bomb.

How about the better-handled Death of Cap in Earth X. There was an emotional moment.

The moment in JSA where Hourman 1 Million swapped places with Rex Tyler, who was supposed to die alongside his other Golden Age JSAers in the fight against Extant. It was a very well written moment, with my favorite part being when 1 Million uses holographic tech to resemble Rex right as he punches Extant in the face.

Stuff like that was why JSA was my favorite DC ongoing book for years.

Whether you liked the "Arc" or not, it doesn't take away from the fact Thor knew he'd die if he fought the Serpent. Don't bring your bias into this thread.

A less known one.
Aquaman Annual #4 (PAD run)

During the "Ghosts" storyline that run through all DC Annuals, ghosts from the heroes past come back to life.

After Orin meets some of his ancestors (and there are some funny moments), he finally meets his son's ghost. The dialogue and interaction are soul crushing.

Check it out

It's not bias. I've admitted my biases on these boards, and will do so whenever. It was a horribly written arc, all of it, and it's as simple as that.

This is a "Post your inspirational/emotional comic moments". Not bash ones that you don't agree with. So STFU and stop trolling/spamming.

Again, nothing changes the fact that Thor knew he'd die if he fought The Serpent, and he did anyway. Many people can't stand the DOS storyline, but I still found it emotional.

Sounds something like the Flashback Minus 1 issue.

Was Stan Lee in it?
