Gambit better start getting some respect on this board. He has everything you need to be formidable, yet people have him losing nearly any fight you put him in.
He's like the only one since Classic Fisk who even gets to look good skill wise against "The God of hth" Captain America. That says it all.

Remember the sparring match against Iron Fist? And Cap got schooled in h2h, while using the muramasa.

The funny thing is, as bad an ass kicking as Gambit got, Wolverine still decided to lead with a clawless jab that landed clean on Gambit's jaw. If he was so inclined he could have killed Remy in the first panel.
In all fairness, Wolverine knew that Gambit was a traitor and he was super pissed. We normally don't see that sort of ferociousness from him when he is fighting other super heroes. Just documentation that if Wolverine wants to stab someone, he can and will. It's as easy for him as punching, and their isn't much that a street level character can be do to stop him, he just usually shows more restraint.
