vs.

Doctor Eclipse from Valiant comics:

Their powers appear to be similar (visually). Who wins?

Probably Gorr, now if it was the Master himself...

Good lord, Eclipse destroys Gorr.

Eclipse was more than a match for a half power Solar-- and at half power, Solar absorbed/destroyed both Valiant and Image Comics in their entirety.

Yeah, Eclipse wins. He could prolly just absorb all of Gorr's Magical energy.

He was more or less a Solar-type magical entity.

Big Valiant fan here. big grin

You say that and in the crossover he owned Supreme but once Solar knew how to use his powers Eclipse got owned over and over. That said Solar is a Universe maker, however Gorr eats Pantheons for breakfast.

I'm not so sure, Eclipse never really beat anyone. Solar was very inexperienced when he came up against Eclispe. Darque subjugated Eclipse and turned him into his ***** and Darque was not a Skyfather.

The Darque Force which Eclipse channeled was also Solar's weakness (his Kryptonite) before Solar gained absolute control of his powers. Gorr has no such weakness.

Oh wow! Good call on their powers appearing visually similar.

Eclipse should really win this.

@Galan, If you remember, it got to the point when Solar was just absorbing Ravenus and Dr. Eclipse, I think Gorrs weapon would do the same. Yes, Eclipse is powerful and good against Supreme in a Crossover, but Darque subjugated him and Solar simply absorbed him.

Master Darque's magics are universal+ and potent enough to muck with Solar. And yes, Solar has beaten Eclipse-- but Solar, even at half power, is a multiversal+-level being.

Sorry, but Eclipse dominates here.

But was he really in the early days? Because in the early days Solar didn't really have a clue what he was doing. Think about it, his power was really infinite within his Universe and 50% of infinity is? Anyway, he used to lose a lot not because he didn't have the power, but because he didn't know how to use or apply it, or even understand what was going on. For example the creation of Solar the Destroyer etc.

Darque was incredibly powerful and yet Shadowman and Mirage gave him problems at times.
