The Source should be above abstracts (that crappy Starlin showing screwed up things for the source, though it could be interpreted in different ways, imo).

the word should be close to the 4 cornerstone abstracts, given that he's one of the 7 deadly aspects of the presence/voice, though he has little feats. The only way he can be truly defeated is if one can generates a voice equivalent to the voice itself (like tefe did). Not sure how he would fair against eternity (who has better feats than the word, but more low showings) or oblivion ( in an m-body he was defeated by iceman, despite the fact that in the same issue he was stated to be beyond/before the multiverse - in his formless state, that is - which was later stated several times throughout his appearances, weird considering that he works in harmony with the 616 abstracts). But the source beats them both, imo.

Who are the 7 deadly aspects again? I never really regarded the Source all that high, but if you say so.

it was shown on panel in spectre v3 #0 where God splits itself into aspects (one of them becoming the spectre), the others weren't shown

it was mentioned in swamp thing that word is one of the 7 aspects.

Spectre embodies God's wrath.
Eclipso as well.
The Word embodies the word of God.
the Radiant embodies God's mercy
Lucifer embodies God's will
Michael embodies God's power.

the other is unknown, though my bet would be wally the god boy, possibly.

well, when you have the source give spectre the power of God, he even contains entire universes within him (spectre v3 #59):

then i think it's safe to say that it's above abstracts. Which is why i don't know what to make of that DOTNG showing.

that spectre as in the one given the power of God (as shown in those scans, which btw are from issue 58 not 59, a small mistake i just realized) ?

If so, then he should be right below God.

If you mean regular spectre, then he should be around the endless' level, an argument could be made for either side, though it also depends on spectre's host, and which members of the endless we are talking about.

I'm a big fan of the word Dagnabbit.

I need to work that more into my everyday vocabulary.
