Why, it seems to ask what I wanted to know. The Zauriel before Flash point certainly wasn't up to defeated Damon at full power who's darksoul actually destabilizes and destroys astral realms. Who's power fully unleashed in "Hellstorm Son of Satan" destroyed an eternal being. Who's defeated two hell lords at the same time, and fought all the hordes of hell easily while in pain having taken souls sent to hell for transmigration (to plead their case to heaven for unjust sentence to hell). His darksoul was assaulted by the power of heaven and he was in great pain because he was scaling the cliffs to heaven carrying the souls and still after that type of punishment he launched himself at his fathers hordes sent to stop him ans cut an easy swathe through them.
I had a look at them, but just aren't sure of the context. I mean is that Zauriel's power level or is it the power of the role given him by his god? Was Stranger actually destroyed? because the last panel looks like he wasn't but was returning.
I'm not keeping up with Nu52 so I legitimately don't know. I know that Stranger is now allowed to use his power which he wasn't before, but how powerful is he now???
There's no indication that it had anything to do with a role given to him by God. It's just his power. He not only erased Phantom Stranger from existence, but made it so that he never existed at all. The Voice brought the PS back.
PS fought briefly with the Spectre in an early issue, and the two were pretty evenly matched. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: But as of Constatine #10, the JL Dark w/ PS approached Heaven and the Spectre put the hurt on. Not really, because the Voice stopped him, but he was clearly superior for a second

Didn't Spectre manage to shut down PS in issue 10? As I recall the only thing that ensured the PS survival was the role given to him by God (atleast in that instance)?
All Spectre did was hold PS(with his giantized hands) for 2 panels before The Voice ordered him to stop. Given their previous battle, that is certainly not enough to conclusively place Spectre above PS, imo.
