Even if we assume that obsidian is at the levels he was at during underworld unleashed when he could warp the void of space and erase an entire galactic fleet. He would still not be able to content with the universal reality warping ability of insane Ganis-Vell. Neither can Alan, frankly Hellstrom can give either of them are pretty good fight its very doubtful that obsidian's ability to show the darkness within someone is going to affect the darksoul of Hell lord.
