Seeing as they

- can easily tear apart the Green/numerous Lantern Corps?
- Highfather being equal to Darkseid (Or so it seems)

I feel like this could still have happened in preboot DC, though the minor new gods there have a lot of low feats.

The lesser New Gods like Bekka hardly had any feats from what I remember. Here in the 52, she easily owned the Sinestro Corps. A rematch is going to happen, though.

Uggha (A New character) easily broke out of John Stewart's constructs.

Unless we're talking, like, Kirby-era New Gods, then yes, I'd definitely say they have been depicted more impressively in the DCnU thus far.

Even the most seasoned Lanterns are fodder in comparison to just low-level New Gods.
