So an Asteroid the size of Texas hits the earth

Who would survive a hit from point blank or even a mile away from impact? Lets say it hits the ground at 35,000mph. PIS is off and if someone survives what condition are they in?

Superman
Gladiator
Wonder Woman
Silver Surfer
Aquaman
Hercules/Demigod
Current Hulk
Thor
Colossus
Luke Cage
Omega Red
Green Lantern(Hal/Kyle)
Deathstroke
Martian Manhunter

Survive. The rest die. An asteroid the size of Texas annihilates the world.

I do. Am iffy on Herc, though.

I'm iffy on Lanterns and their lulz-worthy bubble/glass forcefields...

I'm wondering why the likes of Superman is just standing around waiting for an asteroid to kill everyone...

clearly, you didn't see Luke cage on that list. He catches that asteroid and throws it back into space.

So the asteroid in 2012 was the size of a football field and it would have generated 2500 kilotons explosive energy where as the bomb in Hiroshima was only 17 kilotons the asteroid in this thread is the size of Texas.

The asteroid sees Luke Cage just before it hits earth, immediately turns around, and heads back into space.
