Wolverine beat him at least twice in comics, but he won't do that here. Featureless environment, starting distance of 0.5 km, full capacity... default rules pretty much make it a stomp for Johnny.
Interesting. Thanks, Stilt.
I did a quick search before starting this.
All i found was a fight where Wolvie seemed to be sans HF with mech claws? Johnny had him pinned to a wall and Wolvie fire extinguished him. No better fights came up.
That happened in Enemy of the State. Wolvie had his standard adamantium claws and HF, but Johnny burned the muscles responsible for them and didn't let go of his wrists. Logan regen'd pretty damn fast though, popping them right after activating Richards' code for fire extinguishing.
After that incident, Wolverine jumped from the top of the Baxter Building in HT's direction -- something Johnny clearly wasn't prepared for -- and made him crash-land into a gas station. IIRC, that got HT knocked out and let the mind-controlled Wolverine escape.
There's yet another encounter, in which a mind-controlled (again) Wolverine threw uncoscious Black Cat at HT, making him turn the flame off, as he was afraid of hurting her. Johnny gets suckered like that a lot, tbh.
Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time he's conscious with most of his body destroyed...
He kind of got the short end of the superpower lottery. Kids may love him, but a hf really means you can enjoy getting torn to shreds lots of times in one day, instead of just once!
Spidey: I'm gonna dodge those bullets!
Nightcrawler: I shall teleport.
Colossus: Armor up.
Cap: Shield!
Logan: Here we go again.. *turned into hamburger* *Heals* Sure glad I kicked that unhealthy smoking habit!

Well, we can easily argue that Logan threw Cat with so much force, that deactivating flame on Johnny's arms wouldn't have been enough. Wolverine is strong as hell, even without adamantium.
