Constantine temporally slowed down and escaped from Darkseid.

Zatanna and Nightmare Nurse stop time on a Universal scale. Deadman could control most of the Heralds.

That's just 4 of the many powerful characters in the DCNU

Trick him, freeze him, remove him to alternate dimension, steal his power. Constantine, and for that matter the entire Justice League Dark can pull some completely insane tricks out of their hat.
