Well if we go ABC logic, Sladetook out Starfire back in the day and she overpowered Red Star physically, so who knows. But Slade contending with Starfire back then was kinda PISy anyway. She also used to do stuff like create starbolt force fields so a lot of the Titan's own powers were forgotten over the years.
