Btw I wonder if Shuma-Gorath has some sort of connection with Chaos King or Oblivion. Look what they said about him in Doctor Strange #7, where they show him ruling over an entire universe (probably the most badass illustration of him in MU yet).
So are Chaos King and Shuma Gorath aspects of Oblivion, like Nekron and Black Racer are aspects of Death of the Endless?
It seems like Chaos King should be equal to or above Oblivion, and similarly, Shuma in his own realm should be above abstracts like Oblivion as well, since they are both multiversal entities themselves.
I don't think that statement was meant to imply that Shuma literally embodies oblivion on a conceptual level like, say, CK does... Just that it is in his nature to bring about oblivion in the literal sense of the word.
"oblivion
-the state of being destroyed.
-the act or process of dying out; complete annihilation or extinction."
...Just my opinion. /shrug

It's just that Shuma's also referred to itself as 'the emptiness outside understanding' and has been called 'the void made flesh' before, so saying Shuma was 'oblivion' made me think they were using it the same way.
But I prefer your interpretation. Wouldn't want Shuma to be connected to the abstract anyway.
