Also, does anyone here know what issue Danny fought the Crew in for the second time? Or at least know who wrote it? We've all seen the scans, but all Google and wiki trails end at the Claremont fight.

rand loses every time. they already fought and depending on what showings you want to use of the crew he loses and does well, to he gets...wrecked. badly.
Don't forget about that time when he steamrolled them. Try to stay objective - the thing about WC is that most of the time they are pushovers. Like a team consisting of 2 Rhinos (Wrecker, Thunderball) and 2 Killer Crocs (Bulldozer, Piledriver).
But didn't Spidey beat the Crew? And Cap? They do job, a lot.. (Although to be fair, a jobber aura is practically Cap's super power.)

objective is looking past the 'jobber' aura and seeing what have can actually do at full potential--which is the point of these things. if they job, sure he can win. if they fight to their potential, they kill him. but don't worry, mungi shall show you the way.....
They are. But they also have some damn good showings. Even the recent handbook for wrecker couldn't peg wrecker as they even said he fluctuates
Now they actually have done better against iron fist then he has against them. Even bendis who downplayed the crew had wrecker easily tank Danny's iron fist to the chest with a big smile on his face
That's the problem with a shared universe, there's all kinds of obscure showings. (Only recently found out Action Comics veered from traditional Superman stories, to several mini stories incuding Etrigan the Demon and Flex Mentallo (Of Doom Patrol fame.) )

It was written by Len Wein?? Wasn't he one of Iron Fist's co-creator's, not to mention an editor and chief at one point?
So not just some hack. I still don't think the Crew would go down like that, bur interesting exactly who wrote them doing it.

I knew this guy fleshed out Iron Fist immediately after his origin story, but I had no idea he had such a pedigree.. Just look at his bio here.. He even edited Watchmen.
Starting to think if Len Wein wrote Danny trouncing the Wrecking Crew, maybe there's something to it?
