Not by reputation/word of mouth but by actual on panel/in story feats.
Both were introduced in New Teen Titans, and DS has obviously enjoyed the greater success with fans, but -in universe- what's each done to deserve being regarded as top notch killers?
Who's the most high profile characters they've actually killed? Who has the higher verified body count, etc?
I was hoping you'd use DCnU Cheshire. She would definitely take a few wins over Slade. She did make Green Arrow, Starfire, Roy, and Jason look like fools.
I would also say Slade. For three reasons -one I believe he has more on panel feats. Second, and more importantly than the first point, he has been around for longer and has even had his own books (ranging from him taking on the Teen Titans, moving through the JLA, to even being chosen to kill gods and aliens). That on panel longetivity really pads up his resume, compared to Cheshire who simply has not had as many appearances. It is like comparing Blue Marvel be Gladiator. Sure, every single BM appearance has been good, and we all know Kallark jobs seriously every now and then, but he's been around for decades and thus will inevitably have a lot more solid feats than BM has..
Third - and the most important point - think about it this way. Imagine you're told that you can pick one of the two to be your bodyguard, and the other will then get a contract to take you out. Would you rather have Cheshire as your bodyguard, with Slade getting a multimillion dollar contract to kill you; or vice versa?
I thought so.

My question is simply who (of note) have Slade and Cheshire actually killed?
Slade's been around 3 years longer but like you said, has way more appearances. But feats (like the ones you listed) arent what i'm after. Cheshire's nuking of Qurac likely gives her a huge numbers advantage of course, but i'm interested in on panel or in story actual kills for each (right now its Slade/Atom, Cheshire/Qurac).
Saying "He/she is a deadly assassin" is fine, and if the answer to who they've killed is "people", thats fine. Just looking for names.
