Archenemy was devouring all the magic of the hell lords and their dimensions, sise absorbed all magic across all time and became supreme being like, and strange with all his relics can do all sorts of crazy stuff, lol.
figured power of that magnitude should be able to at least give alice a run for her money? i mean, can't her copying powers be blocked to some extent?

*Mind you, that was only AFTER she had already stolen his power the first time.
However, in later issues Alice was able to access the power of Spectre w/o issue: http://i.imgur.com/mE0BFnd.jpg
...So evidently those defensive 'barriers' he put in place during DoV didn't stick. /shrug
Couple that with her ability to summon any powerset she has ever 'borrowed', and she is probably the most powerful magic-user in comics... Hell, she could very well be one of the most powerful comic characters in general, tbh. /shrug

That was more in reference to the duration she could control the abilities. ie. when Alice was a n00b, the amount of time she could keep a stolen set of powers varied depending how powerful said energies were. For example, as a n00b Alice could keep the magics of beings like Fate and Zatanna for ~30mins. Conversely, she could only retain Spectre's power for ~5mins, tops.
However, that 'weakness' faded substantially with time(and training.)
Well, I also made a respect thread for her some time ago.

Paradoxical as it sounds, I think Alice can steal his powerset, tbh. If anyone is more haxx than him, it's her... Or she dupes his daggers, 'ports behind him(ala Misfit's powerset), and stabs him in the back like Mordru did.
...OR it really is an 'irresistible force/immovable object' type of scenario.
