Bear in mind, Aquarian was nullifying across realities, and part of a cosmic cube.
And he also weakens normal humans. So his default is to weaken metas to become normies, but he can turn it up and weaken normies into kittens.
Stands to reason that null field would cause him all kinds of problems, if he needed to.
