He's quite well versed in black magic. It's he who cursed Deadpool, so he can never die.

Current Juggernaut is suppose to be immune to telepathy. Also there are different types of "magic" in Marvel. The source of Juggernaut's power is a magical being. Thanos isn't above Cyttorak period never mind in just magical ability. So based of that how could Thanos actually "beat" the Juggernaut without bfr or PIS?
