Swamp Thing vs Animal Man

Full power, green vs (Dumbest idea ever) red.

Who wins?

Green, for me. Swamp Thing, being nothing more than a consciousness in some mucky plant matter, is more durable.

Not to mention, plant life is more pervasive than animal life. Even animals have gut flora which he can control in their tummies. Whereas Animal Man is limited by animals only.

The Red is as cool an idea as making Broly the canon Legendary Super Saiyan.

Broly being made the Legedary SSJ is a TERRIBLE idea, in case I wasn't clear on that. smile

Let him and his absurdly large muscles rest in peace to be fondly remember as a bad yet awesome memory of our youth.

Instead of just embarrassing himself, like Harrison Ford and Steven Segal.

Old school Morrison Animal Man could beat a lot of the more standard Swamp Thing portayals, but higher end Swampy wins pretty easily. Modern Animal Man seems a lot less powerful, but I haven't followed him since his new 52 book ended

OP says "full power" ST.

At his standard peak levels, ST was able to easily stomp a very powerful iteration of Arcane:

And according to Monitor tech, that particular version of Arcane registered in the same tier of power as classic Trigon and Corrigan Spectre:

So yeah...

ST also has several esoteric esoteric abilities at his disposal, such as: extremely uber TP, the ability to project the consciousness of others into other dimensions or even the Green itself, etc. He also survived the friggin anti-matter wave during COIE, and was one of a select few characters who stayed fully aware of the events of COIE as a whole.

Full power I assume means with the full power of parliament of trees??? If so Swampy wins convincingly.

I love Buddy and have used him in many a tournament in several sites (ramping up a few of his high end showings) but even at his best he isnt on swampies level.

I doubt OP meant ST with all of the Elemental Parliaments... He was bonafide Supreme Being-level with all that power.

No God ST, no.

Just his peak "average".

Ok that makes it closer but ST still takes a solid Majority IMHO. There is maybe chance for a few wins by Buddy.
