They had inverse careers, Superboy Prime kept getting better feats while Thunderbolts Genis-Vell was seriously nerfed.
Why hasn't anyone brought Genis-Vell back by now? He isn't even dead, just scattered throughout the Dark Dimension, there must be a million ways to undo that.
Or at the least give us an alternate reality Genis-Vell, why not?
