Brainiac or the Erradicator?

Why is everybody calling the guy who fought Clark in the fortress Brainiac? The Erradiactor is who he is... Or at least that's what his character resembles, comic book-wise.

Hes called Brainiac by the producers and everyone who is an official of the Smallville show.

He IS Brainiac. Although they have not yet said it in the show. But thats what the writers keep referring to him as.

Also, in the Pre-Crisis books at least, Braniac had the alter ego of one Milton Fine, which was the name of Clark's college professor and the guy you claim to be the Erradicator. Google these things if you're confused. Or at the least use Wikipedia.

Actually he resembles the animated universes Brainiac more than anything.
