Worried Need Help With My Emachine 570...

Can some please help me with this matter? I have eMachines 570 PC which I am having trouble with. Every time I turn the computer on after a couple of seconds I hear a click and it shuts down or turns its self off. I also notice the three lights on the keyboard keep flashing. I have changed the DDR memory stick also used a different hard drive but still have the same problem. It just can’t get past the black screen. I would be very grateful if some could help!!! Thanks Mark

The 3 lights on the keyboard mean nothing. They are just to tell you that the locks are on.

It sounds like it might be overheating. Check the innards and see if anything's disrupting any ventilation to the CPU or power supply.

It’s not over heating. I have a fan running and a yellow power light on the case. Tried a new hard drive and memory. Also disconnected my ROMs and still the same problem. Goes off before the POST screen should start up...

I have exactly the same problem. It eventually fires up after 4-5 attempts, but can turn off after an unpredictable time, leaving the main power supply light and fan on - did you ever get to the bottom of this?
