Windows Media Player trouble

Everytime I download something it only plays sound and a box pops up. I don't remember what it said but when I get it again I will put it on here.

Any idea why it only plays sound ?

Chances are you need a codec to play the file properly. DivX is the most common one that's used.

yeah i used, it before too... but I just don't like it.
Can't remember why but it annoyed me. I think it had something to with the seeking bar and not being able to shift to certain scenes for vids of certain codecs cause the seek bar remained at the beginning.
