AVG installation. Help
I have recently bought a new laptop. It is running Windows Vista. I have downloaded AVG free edition but the resident shield did not load. It has a red exclamation mark next to it. and says resident shield is not loaded. I uninstalled NOrton internet something program before I installed avg. But things keep popping up to tell me norton needs to be updated. Would any of this be adding to the problem?
Also do I need resident shield?

It's ok. I took it off, downloaded it again and reinstalled it. this time it worked.
