Stored Sites

When I select the run option and press forward slash, I get 3 webpages that always appear. Is this related to the hard drive or is the site responsible? Can it be removed?

Secondly, is there a way to look at the websites you vist? A friend of mine said that certain sites never leave your hard drive. I'm not talking about internet options, but maybe another feature.
