 Music + Windows Movie Maker

Hey guys I'm trying to get music onto my videos on windows movie maker but the files have to be wav. aif. aiff. or snd. The problem is I get songs from Itunes and the file types are different... so how do most people get music on say youtube or some file sharing website? Do I need a converter or is there another way to get the songs in the right format? Thanks in advance
