Setting up a Personal FTP site (How do I)?

I was just wondering what step do I need to take in order to set up an FTP site for my personal use, because I have relatives that would like to file share, but I don't know how to go about the set up process. Can someone help me out?

There are many file sharing sites out there that you can use, if you have your own server or website with FTP you can just setup an account and send them the Username & Password.
