Bamboo MTE 450A - Pen pressure issue in Photoshop CS3

I bought a Bamboo MTE 450A about a week ago, installation was smooth and no error occured and then the pressure sensitivity started to deteriorate in Photoshop for some reason so I installed a tablet helper which helped for a while but now the pressure sensitivity seems to be completely dissabled. And yes, I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers but they don't seem to help.

:/
