Say you fall in love/marry in your 20s and your spouse dies young, then several years later you fall in love/marry again and spend the rest of your life with the second person.
Assuming all 3 involved go to Heaven, who do you wind up with?
Is it a 3some?
Do you get split in 2 and each spouse gets an aspect of your being?
Seems tricky.
Nice doctrinal conundrum, but an inane topic none-the-less.
Maybe you could create a religion out of it: Gather as many wives as possible, that way you can have bigger and bigger orgies in heaven. Or maybe Mormons already beat you to it...
This is something I have wondered too. Most men aren't going want to spend eternity with the douche their wife started banging after they died.

Neither marriage nor the need for procreation exist in Heaven. They/we are as the angels in Heaven (i.e. neuter). But in this scenario, you CAN still live with the LAST WOMAN you married. I don't expect you to understand how this can be, but intimacy in Heaven is inconceivably better than on earth. The difference is, in Heaven intimacy isn't physical--but SPIRITUAL. Spiritual intimacy is the MOST intimate, personal, and closest form of intimacy possible (and the most fulfilling).
