Bass and "Trouble"
you're my natural component
my stereo, you own it
but my chance, i've thrown it
away
unless you're still willing to play
some volleyball
one day in your secret halls
where we can hide while we're thinking about Niagra Falls
and how we stood on the edge
and rejoiced when we moved away from our relationship ledge
to some grassy plains
using our collective grain
to bake away the insane
notion
that we can't use some baby lotion
to rub away the ocean
of doubts and misconceptions
that started from the inception
of me grabbing your hand
without your command
to play in your rock band
i broke a couple of guitar strands
but the Gorillaz could help me be your man
if i "Dare" to walk with you over some Jekyll Island sands
and sing
love,
howard

Why has no one noticed this?? It's pretty damn good. I love the jagged flow and the erratic rhyme scheme. It kinda puts me in mind of rap, or hip hop lyrics, but still retains a sweeter sentiment. Plus the scope used, the different words and ideas, really make it an interesting read. Great job

Not a big fan of it, but I do like the jagged flow of it

I think it struck me because I love the way the lyrics are written.
