Lonely
Lonely
Have you ever felt so all alone?
You’ve just hung up the phone.
Best friends were on the other end,
But they have never known
Just how you’ve felt night after night
Wondering if this time you might
Not see the point but feel it,
Without the motive of the fight.
Because secrets play always on your mind
And tomorrow do you think you’ll find
That with a thin red sliver,
Your life was on the granite signed?
As if to know if all would stand,
Together each- hand in hand
Or if still by yourself,
They would commit the final strand?

Hey, havn't been back for a while, but now have some more to post! Thank you for your replies!
Dear Everyone,
I can’t be what you wanted
and I know we’re not okay.
I can’t keep holding on
to what ended yesterday.
I get that I’m a disappointment
you don’t have to say it anymore;
I find I’m holding back
the tears that long to pour.
I sit in perfect silence,
don’t want to say goodbye,
but I have let you down
and for that I want to die.
I hide away that other side-
the other poems from me.
Shielded behind the person
you think that I should be.
Could you just pretend for once
like you actually give a damn?
Tell me that your proud of me,
not to fit your damn program!
There’s only one reason that
your feeling all this pain:
It’s me, I am the one
that causes all your shame
Goodbye I won’t forget you,
I wish that I’d been stronger.
For the first time I’ll be useful,
you don’t have to take it any longer.

One of my rare happy poems. (Just to show I don't JUST write poeams like the above)
SONG OF LOVE
The low and mellow tone of his voice
As he sings his sensuous song
Enraptures her, captures her, steals her choice
For to him she can only belong
She dances through whispering willows who stir
Their slim limbs swinging with grace
His serenade wraps her, completely entraps her
And she yields to loves full embrace.

Ok, I wrote this as more of a song than a poem, but it works as both if you can find the rythm. I would really like people to tell me what they think it is about, because I wrote it about many topics (and symbolised this in the free verse kind of style, with each verse having its own form).
Street
Man in the street, black cloak and lighter in hand,
Doesn’t demand
Attention of passers-by, no.
No where to go,
Whisper, tiptoe.
Walking the line,
Carving a small wooden toy for the boy,
He’ll never know,
Never see grow.
Under the light, of a lonely lamp post,
He’s diagnosed
A secret of his own,
Nobody’s known.
Keep on Cobblestone.
Reaches the end, this is his number,
To the door he ascends,
Looks back, the street blends.
The Cold cuts in,
As he closes the door, but he feels it no more,
As warmth starts to pour.
He accepts it with open arms,
Puts them to bed without qualms.
And sleeps in silence
No one noticed, as the wind swept,
And the rain carried his blood down the street,
Seconds fleet,
Final heartbeat.

I'm now thinking about entering one of these into a poetry contest. What do you think? Do you have any recomendations as to which one? Thank you.
