Heres a few that I've written within the last few months:

How cold the dawn of winter,
Like the icy cold stare from across the room; unknowningly given.
Warm; the embrace of a brother,
Loved uncontitionally.
How soft the hand of a lover,
Though rough and calloused through the eyes of another.
Despirate; the plight of a nation,
Starving for more than attention.
How fickle the life of a single man,
Changing the path of our planet forever.

There's a monster deep inside me,
But I'm too terrified to let it out.
I'm afraid of waht it will do if set free,
Afraid of what I'll become.
The monster deep inside me,
I can hear it all the time.
Ignoring it just makes things worse,
I have control but not for long.
Because I know for sure that I will loose control,
One day...I'll just snap.
And the monster deep inside me,
Will be set loose.

I am the searing feeling deep inside your head,
I am that little feeling that let's you know you're not dead.
I am that back pain that gives you daily strife,
I am that little feeling that may someday end your life.
I am that feeling that will stay with you,
I am one of life's unpleasantries that will continue through and through.
There's not much you can do to me,
You can try to block me out.
Without me you'd be like a god.
What am I?
I am pain.

The qualms of a man,
Is that he must always toil.
Away at work,
In the home,
All through life,
A man must fight to survive.

There's something going on in my mind.
I can't switch it off, it's like I'm constantly absorbing things around me.
My eyes are finally open and clear.
It's amazing.

There's a prickling on the skin of my back.
I know you're there,
I could feel your hands on my head before.
Who are you?
You're the one that gives me this strange feeling don't you?
Why are you here?
What can I do to make you go away?
I don't need you here.
Now LEAVE!

Sprinting through the traffic,
My heart pounding in my ears,
Sirens wail behind me,
A glace,
I slide and change directions.
I've lost them but not for long.
