Thanks for coming into my poetry thread. My first poem is really short, but the title of it is what I based my username on, seeing as I thought it was quite a good poem.
Eternal Turmoil
Forever, darkness will be my abode,
Forever, my soul will slowly erode,
My grief, my pain, my hurt, my toil
It is what I am, it is Eternal Turmoil.
Here is my second poem. It was inspired by Darren Shan's poem Lord Loss, which is about a demon, and I liked the idea of compiling a horror story into a few verses, so here it is.
Demonica
Hell is where she will always reside,
With darkness she is forever allied,
A stroke of blood painted on each nail,
Her soul non-existent, her skin deathly pale,
On their knees her minions quake,
Quivering, trembling, their fear awake.
Her alliances intimidated,
Her home a crypt,
Her beverages ghastly,
And slowly sipped.
The light a repellant,
The shadows a host,
Not possibly human, improbably ghost.
By night she lies,
Here is another poem, inspired by the Dark Phoenix X-Men Storyline. However when I was writing I thought maybe I could expand it to be about the mythical creature, a phoenix. As you may realise the first few lines is in my signature.
The Phoenix
On a day yet to come
The Phoenix will rise
An inferno against
the midnight skies.
Such excruciating beauty
Within this angel of death
Terror and disaster
In its heart, in its breath.
The lives of so many
In its infernal claws
The embodiment of destruction
No restrictions, no laws.
Its own malevolent intentions
Can be stopped by none
We can simply watch in awe
Until we are gone.
