Magic

Magic.
It's a changing thing.
You hear it as the ocean sings.
You see it in a child's eyes,
Or as a cloud rolls across the sky.
You taste in your homemade cake,
Or in a pie you helped to make.
You smell it as the flowers grow,
Or as a candle dies, so slow.

Magic.
It can wear a mask.
Finding it can be a task,
But if you're lucky, like so few.
The magic is inside of you.

Fate

What is love? What is hate?
And as many wonder, what is fate?
Does fate decide who gets my heart?
Will fate ever decide to tear us apart?

The first time I saw you, I knew it then.
I will tell you one day, but only when?
You need to know how I really feel.
But if you say no, how will I heal?

I'm left to stare into your beautiful eyes.
And as I am lost in your tortuous gaze.
I question my heart, does it tell lies?
And helplessly I fall into an endless haze.

Will you ever feel the way I do?
I always will, and someday maybe you.
