DB's Thread
((Hey all this is my first time posting here so yeah be nice but I'd love some comments! Enjoy! I may post more then just poems in here but yeah I'll try to keep it updated. Thanks all!))
End of My Eyes
These eyes of mine, they hold no lies.
Light does not shine, in a town that is blind.
Minds are wasted, by ones who I see.
Behind the lense, lies destruction and hate.
Twisted by life, consumed by fate.
Blue eyes fade. Angels fall from the skies.
Hope is lost. Silence and cries.
Tears run red. Oceans dry.
Humanity is buried beneath time.
Traces are lost.
None survive, but those who’s light is blind.
Darkness prevails.
Fear spreads among the bones of the past.
Time blows away, repeating till at last the light runs out.
No light is left, burned out by darkness that constantly creeps into
the lives of the good.
Turning the land into a place of war. Deaths go unseen.
Backs are turned. Voices dry.
They call for the light.
Seeking it’s peace once held by the past.
None survive.
One stands alone. Watching time bury the place she called home.
Friends fade. Hearts turn to stone.
Only one is left and she stands alone.
She smiles and walks through the bones of the past.
Memories fade. All her time shall elapse.
No one left, she cries alone.
Standing on the bones, she wants to go home.
Darkness comes, her light escapes.
She is all that is left in this world of hate.
She is all that is left, no one hears her cries.
Her tears fall to the skies.
Reality sets, her mind takes it in.
Real as the fire, safe as a dream.
Behind my eyes lies a world unseen.

It is really sad. Lonelyness. And your use of words is rather visual, so i find it quite easy to see the imagery and the context from which you base it. Apart from some minor pacing and layout issues, this was good. Very well done love. x

i can never get enoguh of this poem my love...it may not be perfect but i still lvoe it. never a such thing as a perfect poem, just one that is loved to perfection

meh*shrugs* i just got bored and started writing i had something in mind but in the middle of it the poem grabbed me by the hair and said 'SQREW YOUR ORIGINAL WE'RE GOING THIS WAY!' And so yeah... Took a turn for the worst... I need to get something better out here... *sighs*
