The Abilities of Evolved Humans Glossary
As we all know, Heroes concentrates on a variety of colorful characters as they work their way through the mysteries surrounding their...unique characteristics and problems that accompany them. However, we all know that the best part is not the acting or the plot, as good as they are. No, the best part is definitely...
The Abilities of Evolved Humans
This thread will track each power (in alphabetical order) as they appear in the television show, the graphic novels, or other Heroes sources. It will give examples of the power being used, as well as who is using them.

ACID SECRETION - The ability to secrete highly corrosive acid.
Featured by: Leonard Cushing
Featured in: Trust Issues (GN)
ADOPTIVE MUSCLE MEMORY - The ability to replicate any physical action after seeing it performed.
Featured by: Monica Dawson
Featured in: The Kindness of Strangers
Notes: Any physical action that the user witnesses, they can replicate with photographic reflexes. The user can replicate an action that they have witnessed in person or on television. It is unknown if differences between the user's body and other bodies affects the power, but it apparently has no limits and activates instinctively.
Notable Example: Monica watches a take-down wrestling move on the television, the wrestler spinning off of the ring's corner post and kicking his opponent. Later, when her restaurant is being robbed by an armed thug, Monica suddenly jumps into action with that same take-down move, spinning around a pole to kick the thug through a glass pane.
ALCHEMY - The ability to transform the chemical composition of materials.
Featured by: Robert Bishop
Featured in: Four Months Later
Notes: Alchemy allows the user to change the chemical make-up of an object. Limits are unknown as to how much material can be changed, or to into what it can be changed.
Notable Uses: Bob transforms an average tea spoon into pure gold, to make a point to Mohinder that money is not an issue for the Company.
APPEARANCE ALTERATION - The ability to change the features of others.
Featured by: Connie Logan
Featured in: Faces (GN)
BLISS AND HORROR - The ability to induce either positive or negative sensations in others.
Featured by: Guillame
Featured in: It Takes a Village (GN)
Notes: The owner of this power uses it to influence the emotions of others, whether it is for a positive means or for use as a potent weapon. It appears to require active concentration, and can only relay a single emotion at a time.
Notable Examples:Members of the Tonton Macoutes are induced with nausea when trying to attack Guillame's village in Haiti.
CLAIRSENTIENCE - The ability to perceive the history of objects.
Featured by: Bridget Bailey
Featured in: Heroes 360, BBC Two mirror
Notes: This power grants the user knowledge of an object's past. This knowledge comes in the form of visions, complete with images, sound, and emotions. The user must be touching the object. The current owner of this ability has very little control over it; it is unknown how far back in time the power can read, or if the person using this ability can control what point in time the visions occur.
Notable Examples: When in physical contact with the clothing of a murder suspect, Bridget experiences an attack on a female victim from the viewpoint of the murderer.
CLAIRVOYANCE - The ability to see and locate distant people that are not in the observer's presence.
Featured by: Molly Walker
Featured in: Landslide
Notes: A person using clairvoyance receives short visions of the person they are trying to locate, what they are doing, and where they can be found. It is unknown how much the user must know about a person before they can locate their target.
Notable Examples: Once cured of the Virus, Molly locates her hero, Matt Parkman, within the Company building.
CRYOKINESIS - The ability to reduce temperatures and freeze objects or people.
Featured by: Unknown
Featured in: Don't Look Back
Notes: It is not clear how cryokinesis is able to freeze targets without the presence of water, though it can be used freeze human victims. The user's hand tends to turn blue when activating the power, though they do not need to be touching the object they are freezing. Sylar has stolen this ability.
Notable Example: James Walker is found dead in his home, frozen solid in mid-bite during breakfast after Sylar attacks his family.
DEHYDRATION - The ability to remove water contained in objects or people.
Featured by: Rollo's accomplice
Featured in: Golden Handshake (GN)
Notes: This ability enables it's user to draw water out of an object or person he or she is touching. As normal with dehydration victims, those being dehydrated by this power will shrivel and, eventually, die. Extreme use of this power tends to reduce victims to dust. It possibly only works on organic matter.
Notable Example: A French hostage of extortionist Rollo Fusor is found to have died of dehydration by Claude Rains.
DEOXYGENATION - The ability to remove oxygen from the atmosphere.
Featured by: Unknown
Featured in: Five Years Gone
Notes: This power has not been observed in action. It is implied that it is used to draw the oxygen out of the air.
Notable Example: A middle school student is credited with accidentally triggering this power, suffocating numerous people within his school building.
DISINTEGRATION TOUCH - The ability to disintegrate tangible objects through touch.
Featured by: Felicia
Featured in:: Donna's Big Date (GN)
DREAM MANIPULATION - The ability to manipulate the dreams of others.
Featured by: Sanjog Iyer
Featured in: Seven Minutes to Midnight
Notes: The user does not need to be present with the sleeping dreamer. There appears to be a clairvoyant aspect to the power, as dreams can take place in locations where neither the user of the power nor the dreamer were present.
Notable Example: Mohinder has a dream featuring the murder of his father by Sylar, at which he and Sanjog are somehow present.
DYNAMIC CAMOUFLAGE - The ability to blend in with surroundings.
Featured by: Unknown
Featured in: Genesis
Notes: This power has not been observed in action, or even elaborated upon. It is mentioned in Chandra Suresh's files, found by Mohinder in his father's apartment in India.
Notable Example: None.
ELASTICITY - The ability to perform feats of abnormal flexibility.
Featured by: Piper
Featured in: Different and the Same (GN)
ELECTRICAL ABSORPTION - The ability to absorb and discharge electrical energy.
Featured by: Hospital Patient
Featured in: Blackout (GN)
Notes: At the basic level, this power can lead to the unintentional draining or surging of power systems, uncontrolled discharge, and possibly long term physical damage due to exposure to electrical currents.
Notable Example: Blackouts occur when a hospital patient absorbs all the power from the hospital's electrical appliances; he subsequently discharges into an agent of the Company.
ELECTROMAGNETISM - The ability to create and manipulate electromagnetic fields.
Featured by: Homeland Security Agent #1
Featured in: Walls (GN)
Notes: The user is able to generate arcs of electrical energy by stimulating electromagnetic waves. One side effect of this power is that the user can apparently float while this power is active. It is unknown if the electrical qualities of this power are harmful to the user.
Notable Example: One of Parkman's Homeland Security agents is able to float into the Moab Prison Facility and strike at Peter Petrelli and Niki Sanders will electrical blasts.
ELECTRONIC DATA TRANSCEPTION - The ability to receive and transmit electronic signals without equipment.
Featured by: Hana Gitelman, Richard Drucker
Featured in: Unexpected
Notes: This power grants the user the ability to intercept electronic signals using the mind, rather than a computer or telephone. This includes anything from telephone signals, text messages, e-mails, etcetera. The user can also create signals, sending messages with a thought. It has been shown that a person with this power may be able to literally see these signals, and may accidentally absorb computer viruses in a way that a human would contract the flu.
Notable Example: Hana contacts Ted Sprague using the instant messenger handle 'wireless,' informing him that she knows where he is; he is not connected to the internet at the time.
EMPATHIC MIMICRY - The ability to absorb the abilities of other evolved humans and use them at will.
Featured by: Peter Petrelli
Featured in: Don't Look Back
Notes: This ability allows its user to absorb the abilities of other evolved humans. At first, this only occurs when other evolved humans are in close proximity to the person with this power. However, with further training of this ability, the person can recall these powers at will, without being in close proximity of the original owners, by thinking of the source of the power. It may also recall powers instinctually. However, the power can be dangerous when its user absorbs an unstable ability. It is shown that an empath can use more than one power concurrently.
Notable Example: Throughout the series, Peter recalls the powers of other evolved humans that he has interacted with, whether he knows he's absorbed the ability or not. The earliest known powers that Peter absorbed were flight, from his brother Nathan, and precognition, from Isaac Mendez.

ENHANCED HEARING - The ability to hear sound at any volume.
Featured by: Dale Smither
Featured in: Unexpected
Notes: This ability enables its user to hear sound at any volume, from distant conversations to the footsteps of cockroaches. Issues arise when this power is not fine-tuned by its user; loud noises can be potentially painful and cause tremendous headaches.
Notable Example: Dale Smither observes on hearing alone that Sylar's heartbeat has quickened as if he were nervous about something when she reveals what her power is.
ENHANCED MEMORY - The ability to recall images, sounds, objects, and knowledge in memory with great accuracy.
Featured by: Charlie Andrews, Matt Neuenberg
Featured in: Seven Minutes to Midnight
Notes: This ability is very similar to an eidetic memory in that it can remember information with extraordinary accuracy. However, it manifests itself as an ability and seems more complex. Information remembered can be quickly applied by its user, and there is seemingly no limit to how much can be remembered.
Notable Example: Charlie Andrews can fluently speak and write in Japanese after only a few days of studying a Japanese phrase book.
ENHANCED SPEED - The ability to move at a higher rate than normal.
Featured by: Homeland Security Agent #2 [DF]
Featured in: Walls (GN)
Notes: With this power, the user can move at a greater speed than the average human. Enough momentum can be gained to run up walls. It is unsure how much faster the user can move with this ability.
Notable Example: One of Director Parkman's Homeland Security Agents moves fast enough to run up walls when in battle with Peter Petrelli in a possible Dark Future.
ENHANCED STRENGTH - The ability to exert greater physical force than normal.
Featured by: Niki Sanders
Featured in: Genesis
Notes: The power of being able to perform feats of great physical strength. Such brutal force can be used in a variety of situations. The original possessor of this power could not access it without resorting to her alter ego until the very end of the first season.
Notable Example: Niki snaps a police baton in two with no effort.
ENHANCED VISION - The ability to see beyond normal human capacity.
Featured by: Donna Dunlap
Featured in: Donna's Big Date (GN)
FLIGHT - The ability to fly.
Featured by: Nathan Petrelli, West Rosen
Featured in: Don't Look Back
Notes: Persons with this power are able to soar up into the air at will. Sometimes the power may trigger instinctually, causing a person to levitate, but most of the time it is controlled. It is unknown if exposure to the elements may be a side effect of flight when at increasingly high altitudes.
Notable Example: When threatened with capture, Nathan Petrelli soars up into the air and reaches supersonic speeds, forming a ring of condensation behind him and creating a sonic boom as he disappears into the sky.
GAS EMISSION - The ability to emit poison gas from the body.
Featured by: Manhattan target
Featured in: Faces (GN)
HEALING - The ability to heal the wounds and physical damage of others.
Featured by: Daniel Linderman
Featured in: .07%
Notes: This ability stimulates the regrowth and resuscitation of cells in the bodies of other people. Initially, physical contact was required, preferably at the point of injury. However, someone who has mastered this ability may only need brief physical contact. It is unknown to what extent this power will heal illnesses, or if it only removes the damage done by illness, such as cancer.
Notable Example: With a simple rub of her hand, Linderman is able to cure Heidi Petrelli of her paralysis.
ILLUSIONS - The ability to alter the perceptions of others.
Featured by: Candice Willmer, Gabriel Gray (power theft from Candice)
Featured in: Parasite
Notes: The altered perceptions of this ability seem to affect all five senses: sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste. Voices and appearances can be easily changed, allowing for elaborate, impenetrable disguises. Illusions can also be created in the immediate vicinity. A change in the illusion can either be flawless or is accompanied by a blurring of the surroundings and a slight warbling noise. Sylar has stolen this power.
Notable Example: Candice gives herself the appearance of the recently murdered Simone Deveaux in order to get Isaac Mendez out of trouble for his accidental killing. As she does this, she also hides the body of the actual Simone. Later, she adds bullet wounds to her disguise, for laughs.
INDUCED RADIOACTIVITY - The ability to emit radiation or induce radioactive properities in objects or people.
Featured by: Theodore Sprague
Featured in: Nothing to Hide
Notes: Constantly defined as an unstable ability, the power to emit radiation seems difficult to control. When the user is angry or injured, he may emit large amounts of radiation accidentally or uncontrollably. Over time, the unconscious amount of radiation being emitted can be harmful to others. The user of this power may possibly be unharmed by the radiation produced by their ability. Electromagnetic radiation and neutron radiation are also part of this power, as users can emit electromagnetic pulses to disable electrons and infuse objects with radioactive properties.
Notable Example: When Ted Sprague injured by a stray bullet, he loses control of his powers, emitting vast amounts of radiation. Those in the vicinity suffer from radiation burns; their clothing experiences burns, as does Ted's. The surroundings of the Bennets' home ignite and are damaged when Ted produces a minor nuclear explosion towards the end of his freak out.
INTUITIVE APTITUDE - The ability to analyze complex systems and intuitively understand how they work without special training or knowledge.
Featured by: Gabriel Gray
Featured in: Six Months Ago
Notes: This power seems to be subconsciously active at all times, aiding its owner to analyzing systems with stunning rapidity. It has been shown to analyze biological and mechanical systems, as well as mental systems such as human behavior. It has been rumored that this ability aids Sylar in power theft; his rapid analysis of another's power (and/or DNA and/or brain) allows him to adapt it into his own. This is a theory. It is also associated with a ticking noise.
Notable Example: Upon receiving a customer, Gabriel Gray immediately tells Chandra Suresh that his watch is broken and that he can fix it. Chandra, standing across the room at the time, assures Gabriel that his watch is perfectly fine, but Gabriel insists that a spring is loose and so the watch is two seconds slow.
INVISIBILITY - The ability to not be seen.
Featured by: Claude Rains
Featured in: Godsend
Notes: The power to turn invisible at will is extremely useful for moments that require subtlety and a quick escape without moving. It is unknown how this power functions, though it likely has something to do with bending light. It is unknown if turning invisible also hides the sounds that an invisible man makes. Invisible people cannot be seen with the naked eye, but can be seen on other wavelengths, such as infrared binoculars. It has been displayed that invisible people can turn others invisible by touching them.
Notable Example: When Mr. Bennet joins the Company, he has a full conversation with his superior before Claude fades into view, revealing that he had been present the entire time, though invisible.
LEVITATION - The ability to alter the weight and mass of objects.
Featured by: Abu Aswan
Featured in: History of a Secret (GN)
LIFE ABSORPTION - The ability to drain and absorb the life energy of a victim.
Featured by: Linda Tavara
Featured in: War Buddies, Pt. 7 (GN)
LIGHTNING - The ability to generate and direct electrical arcs.
Featured by: Elle Bishop
Featured in: Four Months Later
Notes: The user can generate electricity from their body and launch electrical bolts with great accuracy. With some mastery, the intensity of the bolts can be controlled, restricting them to light zaps or stunning strikes, or jumping them up with enough power to melt metal and incinerate human bodies. So far, it has only been used destructively. It is implied that continued use of this power alters the brain due to so much electrical flow. It is also hard to control.
Notable Example: Elle toys with Peter by prickling his nose with a slight zap, shocking his hair, electrocuting his hand, and accidentally discharging a few volts into his lips during a kiss.
LIQUEFACTION - The ability to convert solid matter into a liquid state.
Featured by: Zane Taylor
Featured in: Run!
Notes: This ability allows the user to melt anything they touch. The object being melted must be touched. It is unknown if this power cannot melt certain substances. It is also unknown if these liquified objects remain liquid, or for how long.
Notable Example: Zane Taylor's home is scattered with a variety of strange puddles containing half-melted objects, including a pot, a telephone, a lamp, and eventually a toaster.
LUMINESCENCE - The ability to generate light.
Featured by: Howard Grisby
Featured in: Blindsided (GN)
LUNG ADAPTATION - The ability to adapt the need for breathing and lung capacity.
Featured by: Bianca Karina
Featured in: Berlin (GN)

MAGNETISM - The ability to manipulate ferrous objects and various metals.
Featured by: The German
Featured in: Berlin (GN)
MENTAL MANIPULATION - The ability to manipulate the minds of others, including the erasure of memories and the prevention of the usage of abilities by evolved humans.
Featured by: The Haitian
Featured in: One Giant Leap
Notes: This ability can be put to use to affect the minds of other beings, evolved or not. Most commonly this ability can be used for erasing memories entirely, ranging from recent events to every memory since the victim was born. The power appears to allow selectivity in the memories being removed or left. It can also render a person unconscious. Overuse of this can result in medical problems with the brain, which can lead to an off-on amnesia or even death. It has also been shown to block out powers of other evolved humans (though not in all cases).
Notable Example: Matt Parkman is rendered unconscious by the Haitian in a Los Angeles bar. Then, while being examined by the Company, the Haitian prevents Matt from reading the minds of himself and Mr. Bennet; all Matt hears is static. Then, the Haitian wipes away the majority of his memories of the meeting.
MEDIUMSHIP - The ability to see the dead.
Featured by: Ida May Walker
Featured in: Moonlight Serenade (GN)
OMNILINGUALISM - The ability to understand and utilize any verbal or non-verbal means of communication without any prior understanding.
Featured by: Traveler
Featured in: The Last Shangri-La (GN)
Notes: The owner of this power is very adept at communicating with others in a variety of ways without possessing prior knowledge of these means of communication. This can include speaking and understanding different spoken languages, but also body language.
Notable Example: Traveler is observed speaking English, Swedish, Hindi, and Dzongkha in his travels, despite possessing no prior education in speaking foreign languages.
PERSUASION - The ability to force others to obey spoken commands.
Featured by: Eden McCain
Featured in: Seven Minutes to Midnight
Notes: Rather than just persuade someone through argument, this ability forces them to obey commands spoken by the user. Often, the power distorts the person's voice when the focused command is uttered. It requires active use to cause the desired effect, or else the speaker would persuade someone with every command uttered. Occasionally this power will not work; sometimes it will have to be repeated, other times it does not function due to the complexity of a chain of commands.
Notable Example: When Sylar stumbles upon Eden, his immediate reaction is to attack her with telekinesis, but before he can do so, she uses her ability to persuade him not to attack. She then tells him to the go to sleep, which he does.
PHASING - The ability to walk through solid matter.
Featured by: D.L. Hawkins
Featured in: Better Halves
Notes: The molecules of the user and objects the user comes into contact with when using this ability are speeded up to the point of becoming non-solid. This allows the person to pass through the objects or the objects to pass through them. It requires active concentration and can be extended to other people temporarily.
Notable Example: D.L. Hawkins breaks into Linderman's building and office by walking straight through walls, and eventually kills Linderman by phasing his fist into his head.
PLANT CONTROL - The ability to accelerate the growth of plant life.
Featured by: Au Co
Featured in: War Buddies (GN)
Notes: Plants grow rapidly to full maturity under the influence of this ability. They also grow to abnormally large sizes and in mass quantities. It is possible that the genetics of the plants are altered to reach such optimal states.
Notable Example: Au Co supplies the Viet Cong with a surplus of food by stimulating vegetables to reach ridiculous sizes and quantities.
PLASTICITY ALTERATION - The ability to crumple and deform objects by altering their plasticity.
Featured by: Marcus
Featured in: Normal Lives (GN)
Notes: Objects are heavily distorted by this ability, to the point of going beyond recognition. The user must touch the object with his fingers, or it will not function properly. It is unknown if this ability works on non-solid matter.
Notable Example: Numerous thugs are killed by Marcus for bookies, and their bodies are found to be deformed and twisted, as if their bones had grown in crooked, rather than broken.
POISON EMISSION - The ability to emit a deadly poison.
Featured by: Maya Herrera
Featured in: Four Months Later
Notes: This is a defensive mechanism that kills all life in the immediate area. Black liquid poison is secreted from the eyes of the user, causing victims to rapidly become ill and die. The black liquid also seeps from the eyes of dead victims, and their blood turns black. It typically activates when the user is in distress or emotionally unstable. It can be controlled by the user without outside help.
Notable Example: Maya, angered by her brother's wife cheating on Alejandro at the wedding, accidentally activates her power and kills every single party guest at the wedding, except for Alejandro.
POISON SUPPRESSION - The ability to halt and reverse poison emissions.
Featured by: Alejandro Herrera
Featured in: Four Months Later
Notes: The power reverses the effects of poison emission, preventing the power from killing victims. The user must be in physical contact with the poison emitter, absorbing the poison into themselves. Victims of the poison can be revived if the emitter is stopped in time.
Notable Example: Maya's power triggers when Alejandro brings the police to arrest her, but he stops her from killing the officers by triggering his own and stopping her ability.
PRECOGNITION - The ability to predict future events.
Featured by: Isaac Mendez
Featured in: Genesis
Notes: To tell the future, users enter a trance-like state from which they cannot be roused until they have finished receiving the prophetic visions. In most cases shown, the visions are artistically replicated into paintings or sketches. The eyes of the user will glaze over during the trance. It is unknown if the user has any control of what is being seen, and the user usually does not remember the contents of the vision after coming out of the trance. It has been proven that visions can be disproven.
Notable Example: Isaac creates a painting of a bombed-out burning bus, complete with serial number. Nearly a month later, a bus bearing that serial number is destroyed by a suicide bomber in Israel and shown on the news.
PYROKINESIS - The ability to create and control fire.
Featured by: Meredith Gordon, Maarten
Featured in: The Fix
Notes: The user is able to conjure flames from their skin, typically from their hands. They are not harmed by their own flames, though it is unknown if they are resistant to other sources of fire. It is unknown how hot the fire can be. Advanced control of this ability allows the user to fling fire away from their body.
Notable Example: Meredith lights her cigarette by snapping her fingers and holding the flames in her palm.
RAPID CELL REGENERATION - The ability to rapidly heal wounds without scarring or long-term damage.
Featured by: Claire Bennet, Adam Monroe
Featured in: Genesis
Notes: This power heals the user of any injury or illness that they suffer by quickly regenerating tissue. It does not move body parts into the proper location; they must be replaced before the power can activate. However, it will replace lost body parts. It is also prevented by physical obtructions, especially into the brain. The user still feels pain, but the pain is felt to a lesser extent or is diminished much faster than normal. Users of this ability can only be killed by catastrophic brain damage or decapitation; otherwise, they are revived from fatal injuries within moments.
Notable Example: Between Claire, Peter, Adam, and people who have received blood transfusions from them, injuries and illnesses that have been healed include: fingers mangled by a garbage disposal, fire and heat burns, broken bones, impalement by numerous objects, a full autopsy, a car crash, puncturing from a stapler, telekinetic attempts to rip open the skull, lascerations of the skin by sharp objects, penetration of the skull by sharp objects, bullet wounds from various pistols, injuries from falling great heights, nuclear explosions, brutal beatings, arrow wounds, amputations, electrical burns, radiation burns, radiation sickness, shotgun blasts, the Shanti virus, starvation, suffocation, tuberculosis, and, above all, death.

REPLICATION - The ability to create duplicate copies of oneself.
Featured by: Evan
Featured in: Revolutionary War (GN)
Notes: This power allows for the creation of clones, whom act independently and physically resemble their originator in every way. They are capable of independent thought and can create their own copies in turn. It is unknown if physical objects, such as clothing, are also duplicated. The duplicates emerge from the originator's body, but it is not known if they are permanently separated or if they can merge back together. They possibly have linked minds.
Notable Example: Evan is able to sack and burn an entire town by himself, using his ability to attack the town everywhere at once with his duplicates. Adam kills him during the battle, only to kill him again, and again, and again, and again...
SPACE-TIME MANIPULATION - The ability to alter the space-time continuum.
Featured by: Hiro Nakamura
Featured in: Genesis
Notes: This power grants the user the ability to manipulate time. This most notably includes time travel, though it also includes slowing time, reversing time, or stopping time. It can also be used for instantaneous teleportation. Other people can be teleported and brought along during time travel by touching them, but so far only other people possessing the ability can move when time has been stopped. The user must be wary of causing paradox and the creation of alternate timelines; while it can be used to prevent terrible future events, it could cause more. It is unknown if there are any limitations to how far into the past or future the person can teleport, how far they can teleport, or how long they can stop time for. The power requires focus and self-confidence.
Notable Example: Hiro makes use of his power and teleports from Tokyo in September 2006 to New York City on November 8, 2006, five weeks into the future. He observes the Explosion, then teleports back to his own time to begin his mission to prevent the Explosion.
TECHNOPATHY - The ability to control and manipulate technology with the mind.
Featured by: Micah Sanders
Featured in: Nothing to Hide
TELEKINESIS - The ability to create kinetic forces to physically move objects and people.
Featured by: Brian Davis
Featured in: Don't Look Back
TELEPATHY - The ability to mentally control functions of the brain.
Featured by: Matt Parkman, Maury Parkman
Featured in: Don't Look Back
WATER MIMICRY - The ability to take on the properties of water.
Featured by: The Liquid Man
Featured in: Team Building Exercise (GN)

POWER MIMICRY, THEFT, & ABSORPTION
PETER PETRELLI
Ability: Empathic Mimicry
Notes: Peter Petrelli absorbs the abilities of evolved humans that he comes into the vicinity of. He does this involuntarily and is able to later recall the powers. So far, once he absorbs a power, he keeps it. There are other powers that he may have absorbed but does not know that he possesses them and has not used them.
Powers Mimicked: 11
- Flight (Genesis, from Nathan Petrelli)
- Precognition (Don't Look Back, from Isaac Mendez)
- Rapid Cell Regeneration (Homecoming, from Claire Bennet)
- Telepathy (Fallout, from Matt Parkman)
- Invisibility (Godsend, from Claude Rains)
- Telekinesis (Unexpected, from Sylar)
- Space-Time Manipulation (Unexpected, from Future Hiro Nakamura)
- Induced Radioactivity (The Hard Part, from Ted Sprague)
- Enhanced Strength (How to Stop an Exploding Man, from Niki Sanders)
- Lightning (Four Months Later, from Elle Bishop)
- Phasing (Lizards, from D.L. Hawkins)
GABRIEL 'SYLAR' GRAY
Ability: Intuitive Aptitude
Notes: Unlike Peter, Sylar does not absorb powers. Instead, he murders the owner of another power and somehow adopts it as his own. It has something to do with the brain (as he kills his victims by ripping open their skulls with telekinesis or sharp objects) and his original power, but it has not yet been observed how it all works.
Powers Stolen: 6
- Telekinesis (Don't Look Back, from Brian Davis)
- Cryokinesis (Don't Look Back, from unknown victim)
- Enhanced Memory (Seven Minutes to Midnight, from Charlie Andrews)
- Liquefaction (Run!, from Zane Taylor)
- Enhanced Hearing (Unexpected, from Dale Smithers)
- Precognition (.07%, from Isaac Mendez)
- Induced Radioactivity (?, from Theodore Sprague)
Possible Powers Stolen: 1
- Illusions (Kindred, from Candice Wilmer)
LINDA TAVARA
Ability: Life Absorption
Notes: Another method of power absorption, Linda must touch her victims to absorb their life force. She is able to see auras that indicate how much life force her victims have, as well as if they possess abilities. If her victims have special abilities, they too are absorbed along with the life force, giving her use of the abilities.
Powers Absorbed: 1
- Mediumship (Moonlight Serenade, from Ida May Walker)
