We've had Ryu vs Superman, so I thought I'd jump on the band wagon. Note: this is not a hate thread, but a perception thread. Specifically, I want to know the fans' perspective on these two characters.
This is Ryu with his skill and power level from Street Fighter Alpha 3 vs X with his skill and powers from Mega Man X8. Any thoughts?

Any Alpha 3 fans care to share? Ryu is not your run of the mill martial artist. He has his share of superhuman feats. How do you perceive his abilities will stack up against X's skills?
in alpha 3 ryu get his ass kicked , but if he is at his full potential he can destroy the ayers rock with one punch , kick a tank to the the moon , destroy a comet that is 1/3 the size of earth , cut the ocean in a half with his bare hands , destroy mountains with ease and much more .I think it would be a good fight and maybe a stalemate.
First off, there's a vast difference betweeen Mega Man and X. Mega Man's power is limited. X's power is not.
Second, the orginal Mega Man was strong enough to lift a fortress by himself. Being a robot, he also possesses superhuman speed and agility. X has all of these traits to a much greater degree AND has the ability to think, feel, and make decisions like a human. By X8, X has the benefit of at least a decade of fighting experience, not to mention the ability to summon massive amounts of destructive energy, heal himself of damage, turn invisible, and use any number of his special abilities including shields, black holes, and 100% accurate blasts of lightning. X can even use the shoryuken technique or the Nova Strike technique.
Ryu from Alpha 3 doesn't even come close to X's level. X vastly outclasses him in strength, speed, reaction time, and energy attacks. Ryu has no armor, but X's armor can deflect even lightsaber weaponry.

megaman characters die if they touch magma,yet urien from sf 3 can punch the ground creating a fissure that spews magma stand in it and laugh,I'm pretty sure ryu would win being stronger then urien and all plus the average street fighter can destroy a SUV barehanded
That, my friend is shaky logic on an unstable premise. First, magma alone does not kill Mega Man characters; all of them can absorb multiple hits from Magma-type attacks and continue fighting. Some of the characters die if they are plunged into liquid Magma (not a blast, nor eruption, but a lake of liquid Magma). X, however, has survived being plunged into liquid Magma for a full minute without exploding (X3). Later, he get's access to armors that can protect him from submerging in Magma, so I'm not sure that this is even an issue.
oh yes they can. it is all about the media you use.
Hoshi has it about the Full max Ryu i guess?? Cause Akuma did these things without using much energy. and ryu is supposed to beat him someday according the story. So when he is full max. Ryu can these things too without breaking a sweat.

When did megaman lift a fortress and how big was it?
Also I can't tell who is stronger between megaman characters Street fighters I've been trying to find out forever cause I heard capcom had a universe tier, But I know akuma can split "ayers rock" in half with one punch from his "Kongoukoretsuzan", Sink his island of goukentou with one punch,dive 3000 meters (roughly 10,000 ft) underwater ( At that depth a person would be crushed) and destroy a sunken ship causing it to surface in the air and that's just regular akuma at full power (Shin akuma) I've seen him crush doomsday asteroids and part the sea with a knife hand chop so it's hard to say I need an experts opinion.
Wily's fortress begins to collapse at the end of Mega Man 5. Rock and his creator, being at the bottom level, are unable to teleport out through its dense alloys, so Mega Man braces the fortress himself until help arrives.
Another feat of strength include Mega Man laying out the two-story tall Mechadragon with one of his Mega Uppercuts.
The above information relates to Mega Man. Now for the real power, you'd have to check out the characters from the MMX and MMZero series. Some of those guys are planet destroyers (Great Redips, Ninetails, Omega, Dark Elf).
yup , ryu probaly would dosuch things without using much power, ryu already trains (in the last SF) with weights(like dbz charatcer) that are as heavy as cars.He can jump , and stuff like that with the weights on .
