There are other factor to consider. Does Ragnos have one of those nifty amulets to play with? How skilled is he in duels? He could get lucky like Mace and push Sids down.
Then again DE Sids is tough.

Palpatine is officially the most powerful Sith, and by powerful, I don't mean forcewise, I mean everything. Skill, ability, saber combat, intelligence, etc., and that is a fact. Maybe I should have been a bit more specific, yes.
And Mace Windu defeated the Emperor thanks to his mastery over Vapaad, and to his Shatterpoint ability, not mere luck.

Ragnos is way to much of an unknown first of all. And DE Sidious is the most powerful sith lord as already stated. That I would give it to Sidious though Ragnos can probably put up a fight.
Well... By ROTS Sidious is already established as the most powerful ever. If he gives DE Sidious a pretty good fight, as you say, then he logically gives the lesser version an extremely difficult one, which is hard to believe... I say he gives ROTS Sidous a good fight, but is defeated without that much difficulty by his DE version. Though, not easily.

The most powerful Sith ever was cut off from the Force?
And he couldn't control it, that's why it destroyed him.
Funny how Nihlus dosn't have problems like this when he's draining entire planets .
Call it a shot in the dark, but I think it's quite possible he is the most powerful Sith.
The only thing known about him is that a bunch of force users like to shout " Raaaaaaaaggggggggggnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooosssssss
ssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111"
