(Dynasty of Evil) Darth Bane -vs- Darth Sidious (Dark Empire)

Now that Darth Bane has successfully defeated Exar Kun, Darth Sidious and Sidious's Master - Darth Plagueis the Wise - Bane has reached the end of his long and dark path to Sith Supremacy.
He has one living, organic Sith Dark Lord to defeat - the most powerful of them all - his old nemesis, virtually come back from the dead - Darth Sidious - Reborn.
Bane travels in his Sith Infiltrator to the ancient and snowy world of Ziost - the original Homeworld of the Sith species - and the Capital of the True Sith Empire.
Palpatine has come back to life here - stepping from a Cloning Vat, to make his way towards robes, and arm himself with a lightsaber, waiting for his ultimate opponent.
Now, they will fight for Ultimate Supremacy of the Sith Order -and the Universe.
Bane lands his craft on the Landing Platform of the Ziost Sith Temple and makes his way inside.
Reborn Darth Sidious waits for him - inside the Central Temple Dueling Chamber - Lightsaber in hand.
When Bane walks in and faces him - they say nothing - each of them faces becoming nothing.

Sidious by ROTS is already more than enough to defeat Bane, he blitzed three of the Jedi's best swordsmen in seconds, while defending as well against Mace Windu. Just being in a younger body will help make him even faster and give him more stamina.
As far as the Force goes, everything Bane has done, Sidious has done it too and on a more impressive level.
It's pretty obvious from the opening post that we can expect an impartial discussion.
Palpatine spent six years convalescing on Byss between Return of the Jedi and Dark Empire. Whether or not he actually practiced with the lightsaber is unknown, but he certainly had the time.
Sidious takes Force and All-Out (all-out could be close), Bane takes sabers. Bane's best chance in the all-out would be to speed blitz him I guess, but in force only, Sidious with his wormhole technique is simply too powerful, though I geuss its possible that Bane could be the first to act and hit him with something sidious cannot defend.
ROTS Sidious or earlier gets owned. Beating on those weak movie era jedis really doesn't impress me in the slightest and the movies are full of very feeble force displays from the different force users.

Lucas declared in the Behind the Scenes featurette of Attack of the Clones that the prequel trilogy was "the heyday, the golden age of the Jedi." Defeating movie-era Jedi Masters, therefore, is pretty impressive.
George doesn't really pay attention to the EU though and you can't deny that at least compared to some of the siths in the EU the Jedi in the movies came across as kind of feeble with their powers.

How exactly does Bane take sabers, those three PT Jedi are more impressive than anyone Bane beat in a saber battle. Kit Fisto beat Grevious, could Bane take Grevious? Add in Mace Windu as well, while blitzing the other three.
Also, do you really believe Bane to be faster than Sidious?

Bane just won't be able to keep up. Sidious will be stronger and faster than his ROTS incarnation, and has a bit of extra stuff to boot. While Bane is awesome, he loses.
Have you guys ever thought about how faggy Bane would've looked, twirling his saber above his head in a rainstorm? And it isn't just spinning (which baton twirlers can do ad infinitum) but "twisting, twirling, and contorting his body" as well. Think Star Wars Kid on steroids.
Bane's speed feats are second to none bro. The rain trick he does in Dynasty cements him as fastest Force User ever by far, imo. Kas'im and Raskta Lsu I would put above both Mace Windu and Yoda in lightsaber combat, and Bane perfromed really well agaisnt them. Grievous was according to Dooku not even a real match for any of the council memebrs in a fair fight, so yes, Bane would destroy him in sabers.
I'm sorry but I fail to be impressed even by palaptine's performance against those 4 Jedi. None of that impressed me at all really, particularly the three no-names.

But who's to say he is deciding anything unless he puts it in one of the movies he is working on? Just because he is creator of Star Wars he can still have general opinion on it without it meaning that he is "world building" for example, especially concerning stuff that other people are involved in that he has no interest in.
Although saying that the jedi even in the EU don't really impress me all that much either so I don't even have massive problem with it. What I would say though is that the top froce users in the mvoies, jedis or siths, dont hold a candle to the top force users we see in the eu, not even close imo.

...as well as fact that we seem him lose to likes of Kit Fisto. Grievous' maina dvantage over most jedi is his speed, what's he going to do when he's finally for the first time up against a master force user/lightsaber combatant WHOS ACTUALLY MUCH FASTER THAN HIM HIM AS WELL? The idea that Grievous has remote chance against bane in anything is crazy. For the record are you suggesting that Kit Fisto would defeat Bane in sabers, lol?

I disagree he doesn't put anywhere near enough thought or preperation in what he is saying in those for it to be treated in that way imo. Most of it is vague and stuff he is saying off the top of his head, nothing he is literally putting thought into deciding.

I think we're overlooking here that DE Sidious = RotS Sidious Feats+Force Storm(Which can't be used here) = Bane winning, again.
With perhaps slightly more difficulty due to Palpy's younger body - which is the only viable thing he has going for him.
Bane takes him to school with sabers, and keeps him after class for detention.
In terms of Force Usage, Palpy is probably slightly ahead - but Bane can make up for that.
